Love For Pediatric Nursing Began At Age 19.
I had a love for pediatric nursing at the young age of 19. My training took place at St. Mary’s Hospital For Children and Infant Care in Bayside, Queens NY. It was hands-on training where I worked with chronically ill children and infants; most ranging from birth to 21 years old.

I had a love for pediatric nursing at the young age of 19. My training took place at St. Mary’s Hospital For Children and Infant Care in Bayside, Queens NY. It was hands-on training where I worked with chronically ill children and infants; most ranging from birth to 21 years old.
When I graduated, I worked for a home care facility; going to the homes of families that opted to raise their sick children rather than putting them in hospitals. It was such a rewarding experience for me. In fact, it became a passion of mine because I fell in love with it. Years later, I worked in the ER at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and did that for 4 years. I went on to become a Certified Medical Assistant and graduated from Georgia Medical Institute.

I also worked in the Neurology Department for a year prior to being transferred to the ER. On my days off, I worked in the Aflac unit where the children with blood (Hematology) disorders and Cancer. I also worked with the Neurologist (affiliates with the Hospital, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta) while attending

My responsibility, then was correcting medical dictations and filing them in the patient’s charts.

After I saw the kind of accidents and sickness that brought parents to the emergency room, I realized then that these mothers needed a little assistance from someone who cared. And, that is why I ventured off to become a Newborn Care Specialist and a Nanny; of which I am proud and pleased that I am fulfilling my true purpose finally.

I went to nursing school to become a pediatric nurse so I could have the education behind the passion. Hopefully, one day I can go back to the ER and Labor and Delivery as a Nurse. However, at this time, I want to help mothers with the transitioning process after they give birth. So, I am offering my Newborn Care Services to you.
